We have known our wedding party for about 5 months now… Today Bryan (finally!) asked the groomsmen to be apart of our special day! I am so blessed to be around such a great group of guys. I already call them my family but I’ll be proud to actually be apart of their family soon!

Meet Courtney and Gabe, only two of the coolest people I know!
Courtney and Gabe met in college while at Indiana University. Courtney met my husband at IU and they became friends through a mutual friend. When Courtney started dating Gabe, she took him on a date (cute right :)). The date that Courtney took him on was to the Indiana Pacers game. My husband, Justin, works for the Pacers (this will be his 13th season) as the head of the away locker room. He gave Courtney and Gabe tickets to a game…. and the rest is history!
So right after Gabe proposed with a GORGEOUS, HUGE solitaire, Courtney emailed me and told me the story about how my husband was a reason why her and Gabe started dating and that she HAD to have me as their photographer; I was flabbergasted and so excited.
So the first time I…

That time for dressing all posh and stuff…

I thought this blog could be about around moments of my life and I thought that my year 11 prom could be one of those!

During May, I had my school prom at The Essex Golf and Country club. I arrived with my two best friends in a Vintage car that we had hired for the occasion!

Originally my sister had found the dress while she was shopping with my mum when I was working. But I don’t mind, I love how the dress looked and, to use my mum’s expression, “the way it is a timeless dress and could be used again and again and never go out of fashion”. Which I…

Week 14 – Wearing Tropical Dresses for Charity – surely that’s cheating?

My Charity Case

A varied week – lots of digital engagements from applying to be an e-mentor to tweeting George Osbourne. My favourite bit, and thus this weeks feature, was wearing it loud for local deaf charity the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.

  • Monday 6 May – Submitted an application to become a mentor for online social enterprise Horsemouth.
  • Tuesday 7 May – Signed up to Wear it Loud for the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education and donated £2 (+ gift aid) as part of the campaign ask.
  • Wednesday 8 May – On the request of a fellow Cancer Research UK Ambassador, I voted for Pseudomyxoma Survivor in the Direct Debit run scheme ‘the Big Break’, more specifically in their ‘100 good causes’ campaign (more information about the scheme can be found here).
  • Thursday 9 May – As part of a big push for the IF campaign, those…

We’re so Merican

Becoming a Girly Girl

How many of you love America as much as I do?

Since I’m sure that everyone reading is raising their hands now I will move on to question number two. How many of you Americans like Nascar? Vroom vroom.

Back in May, Zandi and I got our “Merican” on by attending the Nascar Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and we did it in style.

976867_10151423612674499_1206260928_oA week or so before the race, I was sitting around my apartment one evening trying to figure out what I wanted to do for my birthday. If you didn’t know it’s on May 21. Write that down if you want to get me a present next year 😉

Anyway my question was answered when I got a call from Zandi asking me if I wanted to go to the race. Some members of her family had a suite at the speedway and told…
